How We Review: The Checklist Behind Every Operator Description
Readers deserve to know how a page about an operator gets written before they rely on it. This is the method. JLJL6 is an independent guide and not a casino: it takes no deposits, runs no games and holds no player accounts. It is written for adults aged 21+, and it does not publish scores or rankings.
The eight things we look at
Each criterion is a question that can be answered from what an operator publishes. We describe what is there and what is missing. We do not convert the result into a number.
| Criterion | The question asked | Where the answer comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Licence disclosure | Is a company name and licensing body stated, and can a reader look it up? | The operator's footer and terms; the regulator's public list |
| Payment rails | Which deposit and withdrawal methods are named, and on which rails do they run? | The cashier and help pages |
| Terms clarity | Are wagering, expiry, maximum bet and withdrawal conditions written in one findable place? | Bonus terms and general terms |
| KYC rules | Is it clear what documents are needed and when they are requested? | Verification and account pages |
| Complaint route | Is there a named escalation path beyond live chat? | Terms, help centre, regulator's site |
| Responsible-gaming tools | Are deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion offered and explained? | Responsible-gaming page and account settings description |
| Support channels | Which contact methods are official, and are they listed on the operator's own domain? | Contact page |
| App distribution | Is the app in an official store, a file download, or a web shortcut? | The operator's app page and the stores themselves |
What we can verify
- Whether a statement appears on the operator's public pages on the day we read them.
- Whether a company name appears on a regulator's published list, by searching that list directly.
- How public payment rails work in general. InstaPay moves money in real time and has a per-transaction cap. PESONet settles in batches on banking days.
- Whether an app is listed in Google Play or the App Store under the operator's name.
What we cannot verify
This matters more than the list above. We do not hold accounts on your behalf and we cannot see inside an operator's systems, so several things stay outside our reach:
- How long a particular withdrawal will take for you. Processing times are set by the operator, so check its cashier page.
- Fees, minimums and bonus amounts, which change without notice and are also set by the operator.
- Whether game results are fair. That depends on the licence, the game provider and independent testing we do not perform.
- Whether an operator will honour its terms in a dispute.
Where a page touches one of these, it says so and points you to the operator's own published wording.
Money and wording
Some outbound links on this site may be partner links, which means the site can earn a commission if a reader goes on to register. That arrangement does not buy wording. No payment changes what a page says about licence disclosure, terms or risks, and a missing disclosure is described as missing whether or not a partner link exists.
We also do not accept payment to remove a warning or to publish a positive description.
Why there are no scores
A score hides the reasoning. An operator with clear terms and no visible complaint route is not a 'seven out of ten'. It is an operator with clear terms and no visible complaint route, and you should weigh that yourself. Rankings carry the same problem and add an incentive to sell positions. So pages describe and readers decide.
How pages are kept current
Every page carries a modified date. When an operator changes its published terms, the description can fall out of date between reviews, which is why each page tells you to confirm details on the operator's own site before you deposit. If you spot something stale, treat the operator's current wording as the authority and ours as background.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does JLJL6 rank casinos?
No. There are no league tables and no scores on this site. Pages describe what an operator publishes against the eight criteria and leave the judgement to the reader.
Do operators pay to be described well?
No. Some links may be partner links, but payment does not change the wording, and warnings are not removed in exchange for money.
Have you played at the operators you describe?
The method relies on what operators publish and what regulators list, not on claimed play sessions. Anything that would need an account to confirm, such as payout speed, is marked as set by the operator.
Is JLJL6 itself a casino?
No. It is an independent guide for readers aged 21+. It takes no deposits and runs no games.
